Titanite - $2250
Capelinha, Jequitinhonha valley, Minas Gerais, Brazil
5.1 x 3.5 x 2.2 cm
MMB-507 - A congregation of sharp, twinned titanite crystals sits on matrix alongside an un-twinned 2.9 cm crystal with a gemmy termination. None of the crystal faces show the frostiness often seen on titanite specimens. A stunning piece in person. Paired with a gemstone of equally green color, this would make a great rough and cut display.

Tsumeb Mine, Otjikoto Region, Namibia

Cobaltoan-Calcite - $1750
Bou Azzer, Morocco
3.5 x 2.9 x 2.4 cm
MMB-505 - Rarely does vibrant pink cobaltoan-calcite form in prismatic crystals of this size (to 1.8cm), especially given their translucency. Careful trimming has isolated the damage-free main crystals to make this a high-quality miniature specimen.

Quartz var. Amethyst - $3500
Amatitlan, Guerrero, Mexico
6.5 x 3.1 x 3.0 cm
MMB-508 - Striated, yet glassy, the sharp faces of these amethyst crystals draw the eye inward to examine the four distinct grape-colored phantoms. All told, there are at least 18 crystals over 1 cm on this piece, clustering around the main crystal in balanced arrangement. This piece is similar in quality to the Guerrero specimen on the cover of the Mexico issue of the Mineralogical Record (Vol. 35, issue 6). Comes with a custom lucite base.

Scapolite - $6500
Badakshan Province, Afghanistan
6.1 x 3.6 x 3.0 cm
MMS-148 - Purple scapolite on matrix. What else is there to say? Note the lustrous, striated faces and the angled termination, the saturated purple color...this piece will draw attention from even the most jaded of collectors. The termination has some damage visible on the right side of the photo, but this is more than compensated by the overall appeal of the piece.

Pocket 422, Volodarsk, Zhitomir Oblast, Ukraine
11.6 x 3.2 x 3.2 cm
MMS-145 - This gem-quality, yellowish-green heliodor crystal has exceptionally distinct hexagonal edges. Each of the terminal faces has a textured 'tear drop' pattern, a different effect from the rectangular windows on the elongated faces. Locked inside is a 75 mm phantom with inclusions that highlight four of its faces. Photo documentation shows this specimen in situ on the day of its discovery in October 2007.
